Our Story

In 1912, Dr. S.P. Douglas was the Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge F&AM, Colorado and Jurisdiction,PHA, when the first attempt was made to establish a Grand Chapter for this Jurisdiction. This and subsequent attempts to establish a Grand Cahpter uring the next eight years failed.

However, in 1921, Grand Master Samuel C. Nelson recommended that the Grand Lodge that "this Grand Lodge use it's influence to assist inthe establishment of a Grand Chapter of the OES in Colorado".

As a result of this recommendation and other actions, seven Chapters, operating in the States of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming with Chaters issued by the Kanasa Grand Chapter PHA, met as a Constitutional Convention on Monday July 24, 1922 in the City of Pueblo, Colorado and established a Sovereign Grand Chapter for this Jurisdiction.
